Awesome - can it be self contained on a usb stick.

SO far so good. One question though... Is there any way to have it run off a usb stick? It seems run off a usb stick on my main pc, however when i move to another pc, all my feeds are gone. Any way to remedy this?

Thanks!

This is possible when you

This is possible when you store the settings on the USB stick. See http://boreal.rssowl.org/#12a for more details.

xulrunner und Feeds als gelesen markieren

Hallo Ben,

Milestone einfach gelungen. Danke

Hi Zerberus,

Hi Zerberus,

thanks for the feedback. Are you behind a proxy? Its a known issue that proxy is not supported when using XULRunner. This will be fixed before the final release.

Regarding B), I can see the issue here, because I am "suffering" from the same problem. However the way I solved it, is letting RSSOwl mark feeds as read automatically when I switch over to another feed. Can't you use that option?

Ben

Hi Ben,

you´re right. I´m behind a proxy. So thanks for the feedback, that this is in your focus.

Your solution to mark feeds as read by switching a feed is to "radical". Instead of this I use the amasing new features: I use the new feed "New and updated feeds", the filter "unread News" and the sensationell Group-Option "Group by feed". At the end of a session I mark this feed as read...

I have one Question about the proxy-feature:
If I deactivate the proxy at home, the feeds are scanned perfectly but I can´t open the new news. The statusbar shows a comment, that the internal browser tries to connect the proxy.

At the end I just want to thank you again for this excellent software.

Great to hear you found a

Great to hear you found a working solution for you!

Regarding the proxy: Could it be that you enabled the proxy in RSSOwl? Make sure to turn it off in RSSOwl as well after turning it off at home.

Proxy

Hi Ben,

Yes, I have disabled the proxy in RSSOwl. The Feeds are all refreshed. But if I try to read a news and open it, the new window (the internal browser) stays empty. There is a hint in the bottom-line, that the internal windows tries to connect to the proxy.
